This past weekend, we had a wedding to go to in Boise, so we decided it would be a perfect time to stay a couple nights. I was so excited and was greatly anticipating this weekend together with our family. Adam and I have been working opposite shifts at work since I went back after maternity leave and I was excited for some family time. Adam picked out this nice hotel to stay at!! Sydney was so excited for the jacuzzi tub!
After unpacking, we decided to go shopping!! Sydney had been doing more chores around the house to make some extra money and she called my mom one day and asked her if she could come do chores at her house to make money. Boy has she worked!! All for this mermaid barbie she so desperately wanted! We went to a couple other stores and after that, we were all done for the day! I was extremely hot out and it sucked our energy out. At this point, we decided it was a good time to go to dinner. We went to Texas Roadhouse!! Our favorite!!!
When we got back to the hotel that night, Sydney was itching to go swimming and wasted no time! Thankfully, the water was warm and Hannah went in the pool with us. Oh boy, did she love it!! Her little legs didn't stop kicking and she splashed away!! It was so fun! We all had a blast and having the pool to ourselves, made it even better.
A little after we got in, Sydney started, literally, begging Adam to do a cannon ball into the pool with her!! It was the cutest and funnest thing hearing her beg him! They both had a blast and jumped in over and over again!
After, we got the girls bathed and ready for bed. Hannah crashed!! I had to change her diaper before putting her down for the night, and she didn't wake up at all! Swimming sure tuckered her out!
The next morning, we decided to beat the heat and after we ate breakfast, we headed to the park to feed the ducks. One of our favorite things to do in Boise!! We took a whole loaf of bread and fed the ducks and geese the entire loaf. It was so peaceful and beautiful over at this park!
After the park, we went to the mall and shopped for a couple hours. Hannah was over shopping before we even started, hehe! We then had lunch and headed out to Adam's sister's house to take Sydney over to stay the night while we went to our friend's wedding that evening. She was so excited for a sleepover with her cousin!!!
The wedding was beautiful!! They had a rustic, country wedding with a lot of burlap and lace. It was gorgeous!! It was an outdoor wedding and it was going to be a super hot evening, so we bought Hannah her first sippy cup so we could keep her hydrated. She figured it out in no time, but wasn't quite sure about what she was drinking.
After the wedding, we stopped by the Cheesecake Factory and got some cheesecake and went back to the hotel, watched TV and ate our delicious dessert!! That night, Hannah decided she didn't want to go to bed until after 10!!
The last day of our weekend, Adam and I went to do some more shopping before we picked up Sydney. After picking her up, we went to eat a late lunch at Olive Garden before we headed home. Sydney and Hannah definitely missed each other because Sydney didn't want to leave Hannah's side!
It was a great and much needed alone time with my little family!!
